What could be more important than the health of future generations?
Children are not only more vulnerable to the negative impacts of chemical exposures throughout their childhoods but we also have a moral obligation to pass onto them a healthy environment, which can sustain them and generations to come.
The unique vulnerability of children to hazardous chemicals is well recognised by the United Nations and the World Health Organisations. International programmes aimed at restricting dangerous chemicals and re-thinking assessment and registration criteria are currently trying to address this problem.
NTN is campaigning to ensure Australia supports and implements policies to ensure a child’s right to a healthy environment is protected.
